Head coach of Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs, Lord Ellis Bright, has indicated his vision is to qualify the club for the 2024/25 Ghana premier league.

Ebusua Dwarfs are presently occupying the second position in the 2023/24 Access Bank Division One League standings with 47 points. They trail behind New Edubiase, led by Abdul Salam Yakubu, who have accumulated 48 points, maintaining a tight competition for the top spot.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Ellis emphasized the challenges of competing in Zone 2 of the Access Bank Division One league, describing it as a particularly demanding and unpredictable environment, labelling it a “boggy zone.”

My vision is to qualify Dwarfs to the Ghana premier league thats why i came here.

Anything is possible in Football so you aim high and thats what i believe in.

It is a group of death in Zone 2 ,a boggy side.

Every team is very difficult to beat.

You cannot predict ,thats’s an invincible group i can say .

I came in to make sure we can qualify as I made sure Basake and holy stars stayed on top of the league.

I think if i can do it with Basake and holy stars, then I should be able to do it with a bigger team like Dwarfs.

In an impressive display, Ebusua Dwarfs secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Young Red Bull during matchday 28 of the Access Bank Division One League. Ebusua Dwarfs were last relegated from the Ghana Premier League in the 2020/21 season despite winning their final game against Bechem United 2-1.

A superior head-to-head record by Elmina Sharks and King Faisal pushed the Dwarfs to division one, as all three teams ended the season with 41 points.

As they approach the culmination of the season, Ebusua Dwarfs are set to face Rospak and Soccer Intellectuals, pivotal matches that will determine their qualification for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
