Former Black Stars goalkeeper Daniel Agyei says the feeling of winning the FIFA Under 20 World Cup is a great feeling that will stay with him forever.

He said this in an exclusive interview Citi Sports on the 15th anniversary of Ghana’s historic win in Egypt, Agyei added that emulating the heroics of former Liberty Professionals players like Derek Boateng and Addoquaye Pappoe who excelled at the Under 20 level for Ghana was something he was eager to achieve.

Agyei took time to praise the efforts of former Liberty Professionals head coach Sellas Tetteh’s role in the world cup winning feat and stated that winning the title was a great feeling. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I was eager to be in that tournament because I had watched my seniors Derek Boateng, Addoquaye Pappoe, Owusu Banahene (finish second at the 2001 Under 20 World Cup), they were also Liberty products.”

“After winning it (the 2009 U-20 World Cup), this joy is always with me when it comes to the anniversary of this title. I feel great and I know the motherland also feels the same.”
