The Ghana Football Association (GFA) through its Executive Council has announced that the Association will organize a Football Retreat to develop a roadmap to enhance the Black Stars performance.

The said retreat will take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram on Thursday, November 28 according to a press statement released in the wake of the GFA EXCO’s much talked about meeting held on Wednesday, November 20.

The Football Retreat is set to highlight issues concerning the Black Stars and the development of Ghana football in general amid a torrid run of poor results that has been bookended by the Black Stars failure to qualify to the 2025 AFCON.

Ghana failed to win a game in six outings in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers to finish bottom of Group F standings and fail to qualify to the AFCON for the first time in 20 years.

Several stakeholders including the media, marketers, economists, opinion leaders including traditional rulers, Ministry of Sports, National Sports Authority, Ghana Revenue Authority and Ghana Tourism Authority have been pegged as invited guests.
