Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have advanced to the Round of 32 stage in the MTN FA Cup 2024-2025 season after picking up a straight forward 2-0 win over Future Stars.
The win marked the Porcupine Warriors’ return to the Baba Yara Stadium after having to play their home games at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium due to closure of the Baba Yara.
The Baba Yara Stadium was shut down by the National Sports Authority to upgrade the facility after CAF withdrew its approval of the facility to host international games.
In-form forward Albert Amoah scored twice to settle the tie with both goals coming in the second half in the 65th minute and 86th minute.
Amoah’s first came via a simple tap in finish after connecting deep inside the penalty box to a cross from Michael Kyei from the right wing.
