Medeama SC assistant coach Steven Gurah has expressed concerns over the club’s recent struggles in the Ghana Premier League admitting that the team’s current position on the league table is disappointing but assured that efforts are being made to turn their fortunes around and restore the club to its rightful place.

You saw how we played which means We’re working something as far as this particular season is concerned. We’re working something.

“We are working on something to end the run of 4 games without a win against Lions” – Steven Gurah, Medeama SC Assistant Coach.

The Yellow and Mauve suffered their fourth consecutive away defeat in their match week 18 clash against Accra Lions at the Legon Sports Stadium.

Lucky Nwafor’s 71st-minute penalty secured a 1-0 victory for the hosts, replicating the same scoreline from the 2022/23 season. Medeama’s inability to find answers on the road has raised concerns among fans and pundits alike.

We like to say we droping But then I’ll say we have some couple of injuries and though we have equally good players who can, at the end of the day, or any good day, we can fall on them. But then, you know, the opportunity also comes.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Gurah reflected on the team’s poor run of form, which has seen them slip to 7th place on the league table with 26 points.

Despite the setbacks, he remained optimistic, vowing that the technical team and players are committed to working hard to get Medeama SC back into contention in the weeks ahead.

But we’re trying to see how best we can fix things up. And then, we’ll say we’re trying to bounce back

Medeama SC will host Legon Cities in their round 19 fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the TNA Park.

The match presents an opportunity for Medeama to bounce back from their recent struggles, while Legon Cities aims to build on their momentum.

For Medeama, the clash is a chance to reignite their campaign and delight their fans with a strong performance at home.
