A convener of the Save Ghana Football Movement- a Ghana football pressure group-Bright Kankam Boadu, is advocating for another demonstration to be held against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and leading stakeholders in Ghanaian football.
He said this in an exclusive interview to Citi Sports while reflecting on the novice journalist-led demonstration that took place on February 14, 2024 to voice displeasure over Ghana’s floundering fortunes after crashing out at the group stage of the AFCON.
In the wake of the demonstration, with Ghana failing to qualify to the 2025 AFCON with hooliganism immensely rife, Kankam Boadu, the 2025 Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Journalist of the Year Award winner, says this is the best to have another demonstration.
“As to whether we will do it (the demonstration) again, that one as conveners we will meet again, because I think this is even the best time to do the demonstration again because the situation is getting worse.”
