Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has leaped to the top of the charts in assists in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on the African continent.
The veteran player leads the chart with four assists in six games after bagging a hat-trick of assists in Ghana’s dominant 3-0 win over Madagascar in Morocco.
The Leicester City player assisted both Thomas Partey goals via a free kick and a corner kick and brilliantly slid in a pass for Mohammed Kudus to score Ghana’s third against Madagascar.
He assisted Ernest Nuamah’s goal in Ghana’s 5-0 win over Chad in the lead up to the game against Madagascar amid his brilliant campaign in the race to next year’s World Cup.
Aside excelling as a secondary goal contributor, Jordan Ayew has also delivered as a primary goal contributor by scoring five goals in six games despite not scoring in Ghana’s win over Madagascar.

Egypt and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah leads the goal scorers chart with six goals and has the chance to improve his tally when Egypt take on Sierra Leone on Tuesday, March 25 at 19:00 GMT.

Jordan Ayew has played at the 2014 and 2022 FIFA World Cups and is aiming to play at his third World Cup should Ghana qualify to the 2026 edition.
