Ghana’s Black Satellites have ended the group phase of the 2025 CAF Under-20 AFCON on top of Group C after ending the campaign with an unbeaten record in three games.
Ghana’s National Men’s Under 20 National Football Team beat Central African Republic (C.A.R.) 1-0 in its final game to top the group.
Joseph Opoku’s brilliant solo run and finish in the 84th minute sealed the win for Ghana; Senegal beat D.R. Congo 2-0.
After beating Senegal 1-0 and drawing 1-1 with Democratic Republic of Congo (D.R. Congo), Ghana registered seven points.
Prior to the game, Ghana had booked its place in the quarterfinals thanks to having the head to head advantage over Senegal thanks to the slim win over the defending champions.
Rounding up the group phase, Ghana conceded just a goal and scored three times in three games to post a goal difference of +2.

A win in the quarterfinals qualifies Ghana to the 2025 FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Chile.
