Ghana and West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus has turned down the opportunity to play in the Saudi Pro League and triple his salary.

This is according to British media outlet Sky Sports who earlier reported about Kudus potentially moving to Chelsea in a swap deal for Blues goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Sanchez worked with West Ham United manager Graham Potter at Brighton and Hove Albion and is seen as a player to replace Lukasz Fabianski who left the club at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 season.

Reports centered on the Saudi move, indicated that a Saudi Pro League club was willing to meet West Ham’s 70 million pound valuation of Black Stars player Mohammed Kudus.

Kudus who earns 90,000 pounds a week at the time of writing, was expected to see a massive rise in his wages associated to the purported move to the Gulf Region.

The 24 year old recently wrapped up his second season competing in the English Premier League for West Ham and registered five goals and four assists in 35 games in all competitions.

He was also joint leader in the English Premier League in the most completed dribbles category (90) which marked the second straight season he topped this category.
