Regional Manager for CSR & Sports Development -West & Southern Africa at BetPawa, Nii Armah Ashong-Katai, says Bibiani Gold Stars’ historic Ghana Premier League title triumph in the 2024/25 season was largely fueled by the impact of the Locker Room Bonus initiative.
The Locker Room Bonus, introduced by BetPawa in October 2022, is a performance-based incentive that rewards players with GHS 400 each after every league win.
All 18 Ghana Premier League clubs have benefited from the scheme since its inception.

According to Ashong-Katai, the initiative played a key role in motivating players throughout the season, with Bibiani Gold Stars emerging as the biggest beneficiaries.

They won most matches and by that they are champions of the league . We are very much happy to be part of their success because of the locker Room bonus we have been paying them.
Speaking to most of the players ,the technical team and some management members, they tell us about the fact that the locker Room bonus propelled them in making them winners.
With a 20-man squad, a single league victory sees players collectively receive GHS 8,000. Over the course of a successful season, this translated into a significant boost for the players’ morale and finances.
