Former undisputed super middleweight champion of the world Saul Canelo Alvarez believes that Terence Crawford is way better than Floyd Mayweather Jnr after fighting both men in his legendary career.
Canelo recently lost via a unanimous decision to Crawford in a grand bout that took place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Despite Crawford stepping up three weight classes, the soon to be 38 year old stunned the boxing world with a masterful performance to score the win and take up all four belts at super middleweight.
Earlier in his career, Canelo lost his first professional bout to Mayweather Jnr. in 2013 and after duking it out with both fighters in the ring, the Mexican star said Crawford is a better fighter than Mayweather.
“He [Terence Crawford] deserves all the credit. I tried my best tonight, I just couldn’t figure out his style…he has everything.”

“I tried my best. I think Crawford is way better than Mayweather” Canelo said while responding to a question at a press conference.

In 68 professional fights, 35 year old Canelo has three losses to Mayweather Jnr., Crawford and Dmitry Bivol in a light heavyweight bout.
