Head coach of Kwara United Football Club, Sanni Tunde, is confident his team will survive the threat from Ghana’s Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.
Kwara United take on Kotoko in the first of two legs at the Accra Sports Stadium in Accra on Sunday, September 21 at 15:00 GMT.
In the lead up to the game, Kwara United picked up a hard fought goalless draw against Warri Wolves away from home and Tunde believes that the tough result is a reflection of how this weekend’s contest will turn out.
“I believe Asante Kotoko cannot do more than this. If we have survived like this, I’m sure we are going to survive in Ghana. They [Kotoko] cannot play better than this team [Warri Wolves] that we played today. We had [to deal with] a lot of pressure and when we survived it, we are very sure we are going to survive in Ghana” Sanni Tunde said.

Kwara United rank 12th in the 20 team league standings with two draws, a win and a loss in four games played this season. On the other hand, Kotoko beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0 in Berekum in the Ghana Premier League.
