Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has stated that the budget for the Black Stars 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in October are still pending.

He made this comment via a statement released to the press ahead of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team’s upcoming games next month.

Ghana takes on Central African Republic (C.A.R.) in Morocco on October 8 before taking on Comoros on October 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Minister relayed that the combined budget for both games amounts to $1,120,00 Million with $733,000 designated to the C.A.R. game with $387,000 designated to Ghana’s clash against Comoros.

He added that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) submitted the estimated sums on September 18 to the Sports Ministry and the Ministry duly forwarded the estimated amounts to the Office of the President a day later.

The Ministry is waiting for the approval from the Office of the Presidency at the time of writing.
