For the eighth game in a row in all competitions, Nottingham Forest do not have a win and the latest loss came at the hands of Chelsea in the English Premier League’s early kick off game.

Since appointing Ange Postecoglou to replace Nuno Espirito Santo as manager, Forest are yet to record a win and lost for the sixth time in this run after recording a 3-0 loss to Chelsea at home.

The pressure on under fire manager Postecoglou grew after this loss leading to Postecoglou’s sacking; Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis left the stadium after Chelsea’s second goal.

Josh Acheampong, Reece James and Pedro Neto scored in the win without Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca at the touchline as he served a one game touchline ban after getting dismissed in Chelsea’s win over Liverpool.

Born Joshua Kofi Acheampong in London, England, the 19 year old Chelsea defender scored his first goal for Chelsea by powering a strong header into the net in the 49th minute.

Acheampong is of Ghanaian descent and is eligible to play for Ghana but has made multiple appearances for England at the Under 17 and Under 19 levels.

His goal and strong performance against Forest have come at a time that Ghana is reportedly looking to add to its 2026 FIFA World Cup-bound roster including players of dual nationality.

One of such players under serious consideration for selection is Callum Hudson-Odoi who is a former Chelsea player and played 37 minutes for Nottingham Forest.
