Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has called on his team to build momentum and move past inconsistencies in results that have crippled Man United in recent seasons.
He said this after Man United’s 4-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in an English Premier League tie on Monday, December 8.
Man United’s win pushed the club to sixth place in the league standings level on points with fifth placed Chelsea but consistent wins would have placed Amorim’s team firmly among the top three spots.
Reflecting on the win, the Portuguese coach highlighted Man United’s dropped points in games against West Ham and Everton while pushing for his team to be able to string together 20 wins in a row.
“We have always to build momentum. We need to reach a point in this club that we can have 20 wins in a row, the next one is so important and crucial to win.”

“For us,… every game is important, so we need to focus on the next one and to win the next one” Amorim said to the club’s media.

Man United play AFC Bournemouth next on Monday, December 15.
