LeBron James has extended his record of making the most NBA All-Star games after getting selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game for the 22nd consecutive time.

41 year old James was named to the Western Conference Team as one of the reserves alongside the likes of Kevin Durant of the Houston Rockets and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This year’s NBA All Star will feature a revamped format with international players forming a team that will compete against a team made up on American players.

The latest move is to improve the level of interest and excitement in the game after a decline in recent years.

Speaking after getting selected, LeBron James said he didn’t think about being an All Star coming into the season considering his slow start to the season due to injury.

“It wasn’t a goal of mine to come into the season, miss the first 14 games and say, ‘OK, I can be an All-Star.”

“I just wanted to get back to playing the game at a high level I knew I was capable of once I kind of worked the rust off of missing pre-season, training camp and my summer workouts, which I’ve never done in my whole career.”

“So I didn’t think about the All-Star Game, to be honest” LeBron said. Scroll down to view the full list of the 2026 NBA All Star Game selections.
