Raúl Jiménez scored twice as Fulham secured an impressive 3-1 win at Sunderland, with Alex Iwobi adding a late third to seal the result.

After a goalless first half in which both sides created openings without finding a breakthrough, the contest came alive after the interval.

Jiménez put the visitors ahead early in the second half, rising to head home from close range following a corner. The Mexican forward then doubled Fulham’s advantage from the penalty spot just before the hour mark after Harry Wilson was brought down in the area.

Sunderland responded with renewed urgency and reduced the deficit in the 78th minute when Enzo Le Fée converted from the spot. His powerful effort gave the home side hope of a comeback and set up a tense finale.

Nine minutes of added time were signalled, but Fulham remained composed. With Sunderland pushing forward in search of an equaliser, Iwobi finished off a swift counter-attack with a controlled left-footed strike from inside the box to put the result beyond doubt.

The victory strengthens Fulham’s position in the table, while Sunderland are left to reflect on missed opportunities despite a spirited second-half effort.
