Evann Guessand scored a dramatic 90th-minute winner as Crystal Palace beat 10-man Wolves to secure their first home victory since early November.
Under-pressure manager Oliver Glasner had seen frustration grow among supporters following his announcement that he will leave the club at the end of the season. Some fans had even called for his immediate departure during their midweek Europa Conference League draw away at Zrinjski Mostar.
But while the performance at Selhurst Park did little to silence doubters, the result at least eased fears of being dragged deeper into the relegation battle.

Wolves, who sit bottom of the table, missed a glorious chance to take the lead in the first half when Nigeria striker Tolu Arokodare saw his penalty comfortably saved by Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The visitors’ task became even harder just after the hour mark when Czech defender Ladislav Krejci was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in four minutes, the second for dissent.
Despite the numerical advantage, Palace struggled to break down Wolves. Their attacking play lacked fluency, and Norway forward Jorgen Strand Larsen was largely isolated against his former club.

The decisive moment finally arrived in the 90th minute. Tyrick Mitchell delivered a low cross from the left and Guessand reacted quickest at the near post to steer home his first goal since joining on loan in the winter window.

While the victory offers temporary relief, questions remain about Palace’s direction as the season enters its decisive phase.
