Manchester United extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches after coming from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

The visitors stunned the home crowd early on when defender Maxence Lacroix rose highest to head Palace into the lead from a corner inside five minutes.

United struggled to find rhythm in the opening half and went into the break trailing, with Palace looking the more composed side.

The turning point came just before the hour mark. Lacroix, who had given Palace the lead, was shown a red card after pulling down Matheus Cunha inside the box following a VAR review. Referee Chris Kavanagh awarded a penalty and Bruno Fernandes stepped up to calmly convert, sending Dean Henderson the wrong way to level the scores at 1-1.

With Palace reduced to 10 men, United took control of the contest. Their pressure paid off when Benjamin Šeško powered home a superb header from Fernandes’ pinpoint delivery to complete the turnaround.

Despite late pressure and eight minutes of stoppage time, United held firm to claim all three points. The victory lifts Michael Carrick’s side into third place on goal difference, strengthening their push for a top-four finish.

For Palace, what began as a dream start ended in frustration, as Lacroix’s dismissal proved decisive in a match that dramatically swung in United’s favour.
