Liverpool FC captain Virgil Van Dijk has slammed his team’s performance after losing to bottom-ranked Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.

The defending league champions lost 2-1 to Wolves at the Molineux with Andre Gomes scoring the winner in the 94th minute.

The result represents another impressive mark chalked by Wolves who are bound to get relegated after securing a draw against Arsenal in similar fashion.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the loss, Van Dijk was displeased with multiple things the team didn’t do right by stating that,

“It’s down to ourselves. I think we were slow, we were predictable, sloppy in possession and the wrong decision-making.”

“We didn’t concede chances but obviously if you perform like that then a result like this could be the result of that. That’s the fact and that’s the disappointment from tonight.”
