Black Stars forward Andre Dede Ayew says he was always confident that his debut goal for NAC Breda was going to come.
He said this after scoring his first goal for the Dutch top division side in Breda’s 3-3 draw with Feyenoord with a fine header ahead of Ghana head coach Otto Addo’s call up announcement for friendly games against Austria and Germany later this month. (Scroll down to watch video)
The goal was Dede Ayew’s first in nine games since joining the club in January this year as a free agent; fellow Black Stars player Kamal Sowah scored in the draw.
In an interview with ESPN, Dede Ayew stated
“It’s always important to score goals as an offensive player but sometimes you have to be patient, calm, I knew it-the goal- was going to come…but I was very focused on us winning games. I hope it is the first of many.”

“It-the goal-was due but with my experience, I’m calm enough to know how football works and you know that sooner or later when you do what you have to do on the pitch, it will come” Dede Ayew said.
