Ghana produced a commanding all-round display to beat the Seychelles national cricket team in Cricket clash by six wickets in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier B, underlining their growing authority in the competition.

After winning the toss, Seychelles opted to bat but ran into a disciplined Ghanaian bowling attack that set the tone early. Ghana kept things tight, applied sustained pressure, and struck at regular intervals to dismantle the innings. Seychelles never settled, failing to build partnerships and eventually folding for 72 in 19.4 overs.

Ghana’s sharp fielding effort backed up the bowlers, cutting off scoring opportunities and ensuring the opposition could not recover at any stage.

Chasing 73, Ghana approached the task with composure. Despite losing four wickets, the batters maintained control, scoring freely and keeping the required rate in check. The target was reached comfortably at 76 for 4 in 10.1 overs. The win reflects Ghana’s balance across departments, with both bat and ball delivering when it mattered.

Isaac Aboagye was named Player of the Match after a standout performance, claiming three wickets to anchor the bowling effort.

Ghana is hosting the Africa qualifiers as only two countries out of the 6 will make it to the next stage ahead of the world Cup to be co hosted by New Zealand and Australia
