The Women’s Golf Clinic served as a key highlight, offering newcomers a chance to learn the basics while giving experienced players the opportunity to refine their skills under guidance. The initiative reflects a growing effort within Ghana’s golf community to make the sport more accessible to women of all ages.

Speaking to Citi Sports during the event, Lady Captain Hajia Zenabu highlighted the sense of unity and empowerment the occasion created.
Today’s event has been amazing because we are celebrating women women who are becoming role models and inspiring others. Here, you meet all kinds of women, young and old. We network, we play sisterhood golf, and you can learn at any time,” she said.
She further encouraged more women to take up the sport, emphasizing the welcoming nature of the club and the availability of professional coaching for beginners.

Club captain Colonel Ofosu Bempah also stressed the significance of the celebration, noting that the event was designed to recognize the invaluable role women play in society.
“We are celebrating women and what they contribute. This golf course provides an opportunity for them to come together, connect, and enjoy the game,” he stated.
Competition Secretary Frank Afari Ankamah echoed similar sentiments, pointing to the strong female turnout as a testament to the club’s growing inclusivity.
“You can see from the participation that many women are involved. This tournament is in honour of International Women’s Day, and it’s something worth celebrating,” he added.

Beyond the scores and swings, the event reinforced golf’s evolving identity in Ghana not just as a sport, but as a platform for networking, wellness, and empowerment.
As more initiatives like this emerge, Bok Nam Kim Golf Club continues to position itself as a key driver in promoting women’s participation in golf, fostering both talent and community in the process.
