Liverpool Football Club head coach Arne Slot has dropped a major hint about the club’s transfer plans this offseason.
Addressing the media ahead of the Reds’ English Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday, May 9, Slot highlighted the need for the club to improve against the counter attack.
Liverpool rank fourth in the league standings are tied on 58 points with fifth ranked Aston Villa ahead of the game against Chelsea.
Despite spending over $400 million in transfers this past offseason including a British transfer record fee for Alexander Isak, Slot indicated that the club will spend again in the upcoming offseason.
“In moments, we have been vulnerable at counter-attacks. Not like we’ve conceded eight or 10 or six. At Manchester we conceded two.”

“It’s very clear and obvious where we have to improve, it is what we have tried to achieve over the season, it has not always worked. It is something we will address in the summer” Slot said.

Beyond playing Chelsea, Liverpool have two games left to close out the season.
