The San Antonio Spurs are in a strong position to reach the Western Conference Playoff Finals, but star player Victor Wembanyama insists the team still has work to do.

He made the comments after the Spurs defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-108 in Game 3 of their best-of-seven second-round series, taking a 2-1 lead.

Wembanyama, who had struggled to find his rhythm in the earlier games, delivered a dominant performance with 39 points and 15 rebounds in 37 minutes.

The French star credited recent lessons from NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon as a key factor behind his improved offensive display in Game 3, saying the guidance has helped refine his scoring approach.

“I think we haven’t done anything yet. I think we showed some strength during this game, some relentlessness that we’ve got to prove.”

“We’ve still got to prove to ourselves that we can sustain that. Sometimes it feels like being in a more hostile environment, a harder environment, forces us to step up our game and be on our criteria even more” Wembanyama said to reporters.
