England midfielder Jude Bellingham says the Three Lions feel more connected to each other for the 2026 FIFA World Cup than they did during the 2024 European Championship.

He said this on England’s Lions Den Show ahead of the team’s opening game against Croatia on June 17 in Group L.

Bellingham starred at the 2024 Euros scoring crucial goals as England made it to the final but lost out on winning the title to Spain.

However, the Real Madrid player believes England finishing fourth at the 2018 World Cup and finishing second at the 2020 Euros raised expectations and made it difficult to meet them at the 2024 Euros.

“At the Euros we got some things a little bit wrong off the pitch. At the Euros we got some things a little bit wrong off the pitch.”

“We were not playing particularly well so even when we were winning you didn’t get the feeling you were as happy as you should be.”

“I think this time round having those experiences… and knowing, for example, that the guy who scores the winning goal in the World Cup final isn’t always the one you’d bet your house on so you’ve always got to be ready, everyone’s got to feel loved and feel a huge part of the team. The other thing is just to enjoy it” Bellingham said.
