England midfielder Morgan Rogers says it is a joy to be part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group that will commence its campaign on Wednesday, June 17.
The Three Lions are scheduled to take on Croatia in its opening game; Croatia head into the game after finishing second and third at the 2018 and 2022 World Cup respectively.
Rogers, who is competing with England at an international tournament for the first time in his career, said on England’s Lions Den Show that being part of the team was a joy and mirrored Jude Bellingham’s sentiments. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“We are really aligned and it is really easy and seamless for anyone to fit in the group. Wherever you are from, wherever you play, ages – it doesn’t matter in this group. It is a joy to be here” he said.

Beyond Croatia, England are scheduled to play against Ghana and Panama at the group stage of this year’s World Cup. Rogers starred in Aston Villa’s Europa League triumph and fourth place finish in the league standings.
