Basketball superstar LeBron James is yet to decide the next team he plays for and apparently that delay has prevented the 2026-2027 schedule for the upcoming NBA season to delay.
This was communicated by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver in an interview during the NBA offseason as the basketball world waits on the four time NBA Champion to decide the next team he plays for in his storied career.
The 41 year old is an unrestricted free agent after running out his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers this past season.
He is reportedly being courted by the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia Sixers and Cleveland Cavaliers with Miami Heat as an outside option.
“We have to finish up the schedule and where LeBron plays affects the schedule … opening week, Christmas.”

“So I need him to make a decision” Adam Silver said to the BoardRoom that aired on CNBC.

In his 23 year career in the NBA, James has played for the Cavaliers in two different stints, Miami Heat and LA Lakers. He spent eight seasons with the Lakers and four seasons with Miami.
