Côte d’Ivoire winger Yan Diomande has completed a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
Real Madrid announced the signing on Thursday, August 6, bringing an end to lengthy negotiations that had at one stage appeared to stall.
The 19-year-old has signed a seven-year contract until 2033 in a deal reportedly worth €125 million, with a further €15 million in performance related add ons.
Diomande is regarded as one of football’s brightest young talents, with Liverpool also reportedly interested in signing him during the transfer window.
He joins Real Madrid after an impressive 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, where he helped Côte d’Ivoire reach the knockout stage for the first time in the nation’s history.

The Elephants were eliminated from the World Cup by Norway in a 2-1 loss; Yan registered an assist in four games.
In 33 league games in the 2025-2026 season, Diomande registered 12 goals and eight assists and is the latest recruit by Real Madrid this offseason after Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, and Marc Cucurella’s signings.
