Head coach of Italian Serie A side FC Como Francesc Fabregas has lauded the addition of Robert Sanchez to the team.
This comes on the back of Sanchez joining Como from English Premier League side Chelsea on a seaso-long loan that ends following the conclusion of the 2026-2027 season.
Sanchez featured in Chelsea’s 3-2 win over Fulham in the opening round of games in the EPL this season before getting shipped out after the arrival of Emiliano Martinez.
Former Brighton and Hove Albion keeper Sanchez, followed Chelsea teammate Trevoh Chalobah to Como with the latter joining the Serie A side on a permanent deal worth 30 million pounds.
“Robert (Sanchez) brings experience at the highest level and qualities that suit the way we want to play.”

“He is a strong goalkeeper with a big presence, but he is also very comfortable with the ball and can help us build from the back. We are very happy to welcome him to Como” Fabregas said.
