He said this to the club’s media during pre-season ahead of the start of the 2026-2027 Ghana Premier League campaign that commences in September with Kotoko taking on league debutant Debibi United on September 5 in its opening game.
Tinkler took over as head coach earlier this offseason after Kotoko cycled through coaches last season en route to finishing eighth in the league.
“We have now completed the signings that we feel we need to strengthen the squad. What you should expect is obviously there is going to be a number of changes in terms of the squad.”

“We’ve moved a number of players out that we just felt…So [there are] a lot of new faces, a lot of foreign based players that come with a lot of experience as well which I think is all very important. Well, there’s one or two surprises still coming” Tinkler said.
