Curtis Jones is set to leave Liverpool for Inter Milan after the Serie A champions agreed a deal worth €35m (£30m) for the midfielder.
Liverpool have accepted an initial €30m (£25.7m) fee, with a further €5m (£4.3m) available in add-ons.
Jones, 25, is expected to travel to Italy on Thursday for his medical, with Liverpool also securing a 10% sell-on clause as part of the agreement.
Inter had previously tried to sign the England midfielder in January, when they proposed a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent. Liverpool rejected that proposal.
The Italian club returned with a permanent offer in June, but their initial €25m (£21.7m) bid was rejected by Liverpool, who valued Jones at around £35m despite the player having just one year remaining on his contract.
The Reds later indicated that a package similar to the £30m Inter paid Tottenham for Djed Spence could be enough to complete the transfer.

Jones leaves Liverpool after more than a decade at the club, having joined the academy at the age of nine.
He made his senior debut under Jurgen Klopp in 2019 and went on to make 228 appearances for the club.
Last season, Jones featured 49 times in all competitions but started only 18 Premier League matches as he struggled to establish himself as a regular in Arne Slot’s midfield.
His departure will bring an end to a Liverpool career in which he was valued for his versatility, technical ability and willingness to play in different midfield roles.
Jones is understood to be keen on a new challenge and will become the third English player to join Inter this summer, following John Stones and Djed Spence.
Liverpool weigh financial gain against squad depth
For Liverpool, the deal represents a chance to generate a significant fee from a player who had entered the final year of his contract.

The club faced a choice between selling Jones this summer, accepting a potentially lower fee in January or allowing him to leave for free next summer.
While the move makes financial sense, Liverpool will lose a reliable squad option.
Jones made 95 appearances across two seasons under Slot and was capable of operating in several positions, although he never completely established himself in one particular role.
His departure could now create an opportunity for 19-year-old Trey Nyoni to take on a bigger role after impressing during pre-season.
New Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola had previously made clear that he rated Jones highly and wanted him to remain at Anfield.
However, Liverpool have now agreed to allow the academy graduate to pursue a new challenge in Italy.
