American player Coco Gauff reached her fifth WTA 1000 semifinal of the year after beating Marta Kostyuk to reach this year’s Cincinnati Open semifinals.

2023 Cincinnati Open champion Gauff, delivered a quick dismantling of Kostyuk with a 6-2, 6-2 win to reach the final four.

She is scheduled to play against Czech Republic’s Sara Bejlek on Saturday, August 22 at 23:30 GMT after Bejlek beat Madison Keys 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 in her quarterfinal matchup.

Beating Keys was the latest win for 20 year old Bejlek over a big name opponent after recording a stunning win over world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinals and Gauff is wary of Bejlek’s threat.

“Sara is a great player. I watched her a lot in Abu Dhabi this year when she won that title.”

“So I think it’s going to be a tough match. I’m looking forward to it” Gauff said.
