Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has stated that new signing Enzo Fernandez is ready to play immediately despite joining the club four days ago.
He said this at a press conference ahead of Man City’s EPL clash against Coventry City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, September 5 at 14:00 GMT.
Fernandez joined Man City from Chelsea for a record 125 million pounds with the transfer concluded on deadline day on Tuesday, September 1.
Argentina midfielder Fernandez fell out with Chelsea after expressing his desire to leave the club for Real Madrid and by joining City, he reconnected with Maresca who won the Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup at Chelsea.
“Enzo is ready, yes. I know Enzo quite well and I know what he can bring to the team. It’s very important he’s with us.”

“He is a winner, with a winner’s mentality and knows how to win. The World Cup, Club World Cup… the main thing is he’s a winner” Maresca said.
