Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner has pointed out that Ghana winger Mohammed Kudus should have conceded a penalty kick.
He stated this in an interview with the club’s media after Forest drew goalless at home against Tottenham Hotspurs in an English Premier League clash.
Glasner voiced his disapproval over multiple refereeing decisions including the decision to cancel Neco Williams’ goal over a handball call.
He went on to state that Williams was also fouled by Kudus inside the penalty box that should have led to a penalty call for Forest but got waved off.
“For me it is a clear penalty when Neco Williams gets fouled because [Mohammed] Kudus doesn’t even jump into the ball and when this situation happens anywhere on the pitch it is always a foul.”
“The VAR should say to stay with the on-field decision because it is about strengthening the referee. Stick to the on-field decision” Glasner said.
Kudus played 29 minutes in the game off the bench as he continued to work his way back into shape after a seven month long injury related absence.
