WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia says he is still not receiving the credit he deserves despite his impressive victory over Conor Benn.
Garcia stopped the British challenger in the second round in Las Vegas to successfully defend the title he won earlier this year with a unanimous decision victory over Mario Barrios.
The win has strengthened Garcia’s position among the division’s leading contenders and could set up high-profile fights against Teofimo Lopez or Devin Haney. However, Garcia believes his recent performances have yet to earn him the recognition he deserves.
“LETS GO I FREAKING DID THAT. 2 rounds. I know it’s hard to admit for some people I just got hands and my boxing is much better then the credit I receive from some of the peers and analyst but that’s part of the game.”
