“Let players decide games”: Angry Dreams FC boss blasts referees in defeat to Kotoko

Dreams Fc head coach Vladislav Viric has accused match officials of influencing their match week 23 game in favor of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The Porcupine Warriors came from a goal down in that encounter to win the match 3-1 on Saturday at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium.

Dreams took the lead through Agyenim Boateng who scored from a penalty kick in the 38th minute.

Kotoko quickly responded and drew level four minutes later via a header from Brazilian striker Michael Vinicius who was handed his first start by Head Coach Mariano Barreto.

The home team then took the lead for the first time in the match after Abdul Ganiu Ismail converted a penalty in the 57th minute.

Television replays showed the Dreams FC player appeared to have played the ball first, causing uproar on the Dreams bench.

Speaking after the game, Viric alleged that the Kumasi based club brought in some people to help them win the game.

“To push the game in their favor, they called some people in Black to help them”

“They weren’t helping today and for me I am so sad because as a coach, I live for football, I think about my players and formation and sometimes I make mistakes.

“But on the pitch, players must be the ones to decide the outcome of the game and I’m so proud of my players.

“They played an amazing game with character and bravery. It is true that we didn’t play well in the last third but it doesn’t matter.

“Let players decide who is going to win.”

The victory moved Kotoko to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with 41 points, with just one point separating them from second placed Accra Great Olympics.
