Bechem United President Kingsley Owusu Achiaw has called on club administrators to have quality players on their roster to attract fans to their games.

He made this statement in an exclusive interview with CITI Sports on the sidelines of the 47th edition of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards held recently.

Responding to a question on possible solutions to address sharp dwindling attendance at betPawa Ghana Premier League venues, the veteran administrator suggested fielding quality teams as a starter.

“First of all, we should have quality players in our teams and that will attract people to come and watch our matches. If you don’t have quality, someone will not sacrifice coming all the way from the house to come and see ordinary players.

I believe that we should invest in football in Ghana so that we can retain the good players who will attract the spectators to the stadium” he said.

Bechem President Achiaw was honoured with a Meritorious Award at the SWAG event in recognition of his dedication to developing football in Ghana.
