Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Board Member Frank Nelson Nwokolo says as far as infrastructure goes, the Phobia club is doing well, with the club’s training facility at Pobiman leading the way.
He said this on the sidelines of the All Star Festival press soiree in the lead up to the BAC Group event that is set to run from June 20 to June 22 in Sunyani.
A handful of Black Stars players including Andre Ayew and Kamaldeen Sulemana and former Hearts players Bernard Dong Bortey and Stephen Appiah are expected to compete in the All Star Game.
Speaking to the media on Hearts’ dismal 2022-2023 BetPawa Ghana Premier League season where the Phobia club finished 12th, Nelson Nwokolo expressed his disappointment but believes the club is doing well in other areas.
“In facilities, we are doing very well. You go to Pobiman, it’s like a one stop shop because with Pobiman you have basketball, tennis courts, you have a swimming pool, you have hostel facilities, you have natural and astro turf pitches and we are planning to add an 80 bedroom hotel in Pobiman. So if you ask me about the future, I will tell you the future is bright.”
Hearts cycled through three head coaches in the just ended season after doing away with Samuel Boadu and Slavko Matic and concluding the campaign with caretaker boss David Ocloo.
