Ghana Super Middleweight champion Prince Okoe Nartey says he is in no rush to pursue a world title fight just yet and believes things will fall into place naturally.
Nartey said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after recording a third-round technical knockout win over Felix Mankata at the King of the Ring 3 event at the Trust Sports Emporium recently.
The 29-year-old Nartey improved his record to 10 wins in 11 professional bouts and is taking a patient approach to build his career while welcoming a potential bout against veteran challenger Obodai Sai.
“I am ready for him-Obodai Sai-…this is what I’ve been doing for the past five years so it’s a good challenge and it’s going to be war I am ready for him. I am not in a rush am just taking it step by step. We will get there, it’s very close”.
Nartey was one of the headline acts on the night that has as many as nine bouts including the main event that had Tasif Khan win the WBC Super flyweight belt by beating Venezuelan David Barreto.
