Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Chief Executive Officer Kudjoe Fianoo has described Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku’s speech at the 29th Ordinary Congress as explosive.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports on the sidelines of the Congress that was held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)’s Great Hall in Kumasi.
Asked for his biggest takeaways from the event, the GHALCA CEO touched on the impressive turnout and the GFA President’s speech that was met with a standing ovation from sections of the congregation.
“My biggest takeaways are the attendance; we had 120 out of 124. You can work out the percentage. I also listened to with rapt attention the explosive address from the GFA President. The high points being that all hands should be on deck and the lofty ideas that they have.
The low points were the performance, the translation of all these lofty ideas on to the pitch and I think that that is another journey that we have to embark on and he called for support and I believe that if we all give our support, we will get to where we want to get to.”
The 2022-2023 BetPawa Ghana Premier League concluded with Medeama Sporting Club winning the title for the first time ever.
