Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential aspirant Amanda Clinton has seemingly called for 2023 GFA Elections Presidential candidate George Afriyie (disqualified at the time of writing) to be treated with more respect.
She said this in an exclusive interview on the Point Blank segment on Citi FM’s Eye Witness News as incumbent GFA President Kurt Okraku remains on course to run unopposed in the 2023 GFA Elections Presidential race after Afriyie was disqualified from the race.
The decision of the GFA Elections Committee to disqualify George Afriyie over the ineligibility of an endorser of his candidacy was earlier this week upheld by the Appeals Committee.
On Kurt Okraku going unopposed in the GFA Presidential race, Clinton stated in the interview, “I think it’s wrong because the mark of a true is to exercise discretion, flexibility and courtesy to a former Vice President of the GFA; without it, you cannot lead effectively.”
According to the legal team of George Afriyie, the case will be heard at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
