Proud to win Woman of the Match Award- Ampem Darkoa’s Comfort Yeboah

Ampem Darkoa Ladies Football Club’s Comfort Yeboah has expressed how proud she is to be named Woman of the Match after delivering a sterling performance in a 2-1 win in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Yeboah’s goal and an own goal off her cross was enough to give Ampem Darkoa a shock win over defending champions ASFAR leading to the youngster receiving the top individual recognition.

Speaking to CAF after the win, Yeboah praised the efforts of her teammates to secure the win while looking forward to the upcoming games in Group B.

“I am very happy with this victory. We gave everything to win. I say thank you to my friends (teammates) for this match and for helping me score twice.”

“I am proud of getting this trophy of best player of the match. We are happy but there are still two matches left, we will approach them well”.

Ghana’s representative at the CAF Champions League, Ampem Darkoa, takes on Mali’s AS Mande on November 11. Mande played a 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea’s Huracanes.
