President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Abraham Neequaye Kotei, says an individual must be tough skinned to handle the pressure that comes with occupying the office of the GBA Presidency.
The GBA President’s comment was in response to the family of Samuel Quartey who cursed him over his alleged role in the controversial ruling of Quartey’s bout against Jerry Lartey.
Addressing the issue, President Kotei stated the family has apologized and reversed the curses against him and added he is unfazed by such incidents. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“If you say you are going to look at [it that] people will bash you, people will curse you, people will say things about you, then you are not a leader. I understood the position before I took it and it’s a tough office so for me, you have to be strong.”
“If you are the head of the boxing authority, you have to be a strong man. It’s not easy but you’ve got to straighten up certain few things and it’s part of life.”
It's not common to see a Boxer trained by his father who doubles as the Boxing President of that country. Ghana has one. As such I had to highlight it in this report. Enjoy…. https://t.co/RLlRcPWvVD
