Ghanaian super middleweight contender Sena “The African Assassin” Agbeko believes that he is better than Cuban David Morrell.
He said this ahead of the anticipated bout between Agbeko and Morrell on December 16 at Armory, Minneapolis on the back of a series of controversies.

However, Agbeko’s license was suspended by the Nevada Athletics Commission due to a heart condition issue detected after a medical scan prompting Agbeko to seek an independent medical opinion. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
He was cleared for the fight but missed out on fighting Morrell with Agbeko ending up fighting Argentine Bruno Leonardo Romay and scoring a technical knockout win in October.
Morrell fought and scored a knockout win over Brazilian Yamaguchi Falcao in April with the veteran Brazilian fighter stepping in as a late replacement for Agbeko.
Despite having a decorated career and nine wins in as many professional fights, Agbeko is picking himself as the better fight in a chat with Boxing Scene saying,
“He’s good, he’s definitely good. I think he’s a complete fighter. He’s a good fighter with a lot of great potential but at the moment, I think I’m better than him.”
Agbeko goes into the bout with a record of 28 wins and two losses in his 30 fight professional career.
