The preliminary round of games for the 2024-2025 CAF Champions League has been confirmed following the official draw conducted by Africa’s football governing body, CAF, in Cairo, Egypt.
Ghana’s representative FC Samartex have been drawn against Cameroon’s Victoria United with the two legged tie scheduled for the period between September 13 and 15 and September 20-22.
In a related development, Nsoatreman will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup and play TP Electric Sport from Niger in the same period. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
In one of the standout ties in the preliminary round, Tanzania’s Azam FC will take on Armee Police Rwanda of Rwanda with the tie set to have a strong Ghanaian contingent in it.
Azam FC have three Ghanaians on its roster; goalkeeper Abdulai Iddrisu, defender Daniel Amoah and midfielder James Amoako while APR has former Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain Richmond Lamptey and former FC Samartex midfielder Abdul Seidu on its roster.
