Team Ghana capped its preparation for the 2024 Olympics by making an appearance at the opening ceremony as part of the over 150 countries to sail on the Seine River for the colourful ceremony. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Eight athletes will represent Ghana at this year’s Olympics with high jumper Rose Yeboah and swimmers Joselle Mensah and Harry Stacey as the members who aren’t part of Ghana’s Men’s 4×100 Relay Team.
On the administrative and technical side, Ghana has 13 individuals in Paris with Ghana Olympic Committee President Ben Nunoo Mensah leading the charge.
Veteran sports journalist Benjamin Willie Graham serves as the Media Attache with Philippina Frimpong as the Athletics Leader and Ghana Swimming Association President Delphina Quaye serving as the Swimming Leader.
Despite having a physiotherapist, a nurse and a Doctor, the list doesn’t include a psychologist.
