Former Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given is the latest English Premier League pundit to praise the performance of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in the wake of the 20 year old Black Stars winger’s Man of the Match Award winning performance.
Issahaku starred in Leicester City’s 3-2 comeback win over Southampton after trailing 2-0 at half time; fellow Black Stars player Jordan Ayew scored the winning goal for Leicester in the 98th minute.
Former Sporting Lisbon winger, Issahaku, played just 31 minutes but assisted Facundo Bounanotte’s goal and excelled down Leicester’s right side.
His performance drew praise from Leicester manager Steve Cooper and football legend Gary Lineker and Man City legend, Given, chimed in on Issahaku’s performance against Southampton. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“He’s a special talent. They were two nil down… when he came off the bench. To play 31 minutes, Gary (Lineker) and to have more touches in the opposition box. I mean, if Steve (Cooper) doesn’t start him next week, I don’t think you’ll be overly happy but he’s a brilliant talent.”
Issahaku is in line to start in Leicester’s game against Nottingham Forest on Friday, October 25. Scroll down to watch video.
