Two members of the top three ranked clubs in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season at the time of writing, Nations FC and Kpando Heart of Lions, are in line to have one of their top performers scoop up the Player of the Month Award for November.
Nations FC forward Faisal Charwetey and Lions’ forward Kwadwo Obeng Jnr have been nominated for the top prize alongside Stephen Amankona of Berekum Chelsea and Prince Tweneboah of Basake Holy Stars.
Charwetey leads the GPL with eight goals and aided Nations win three of four games in November to rank second. He scored in Nations big 2-0 win over Kumasi rivals Asante Kotoko.
Former Accra Hearts of Oak forward Obeng Jnr. has found his feet with the Kpando club and scored two goals in four games as Lions went unbeaten in the month.
Despite ranking eighth and 10th in the league standings, Amankona of Chelsea and Tweneboah of Holy Stars respectively scored three goals in four games.
Tweneboah scored in Holy Stars 1-0 win over defending league champions FC Samartex.
