Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has stated that his club did what was needed to qualify to the Round of 16 stage in the MTN FA Cup despite the club falling short on certain expectations.

Ghana Premier League side Kotoko beat lower tier side Accelere8z FC 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Round 32 stage of the 2024-2025 MTN FA Cup season.

In his post-game interview, Dr. Ogum noted that despite his team falling short of scoring an avalanche of goals as many expected, the Porcupine Warriors did what was needed by qualifying to the next round.

“As a technical staff, I think we are happy with the youth players what they played and we are also happy with the way the team played. I’m sure maybe people wanted to see an avalanche of goals…but the most important thing is that we have won and we are moving to the next stage of the competition” he said.
